Yes, it is the night before the first day of workshop and I am doing SCHOOLWORK!!
I had two things I thought I would share with you:
1 - I was doing work that required looking up a lot of vocabulary words and I figured out midway through the search that it was really easy to use google for this task. If you put define:word in the google search line, it gives you 4 or 5 different online definitions. I found it much easier than going to Webster.com (which is what I normally use) and not always liking the definition. This way you have a few definitions to choose from.
2 - I was making a powerpoint that required a lot of pictures and decided that I would give the whole creative commons thing a try. Normally I would just go to google images and look for pictures that work. In an effort to model fair use...I went to flickr and search through their creative commons pictures. I am going to be honest...it was much more difficult! It required a lot more digging for the perfect picture.

There are so many tips like that for Google -- keep sharing if you discover more!
And "way to go" modeling responsible use. Kind of eases your mind, too, don't you think?
As for the yearbook pics . . . um . . . wow. :)
Another cool thing about Google is that you can actually search for completed powerpoints that others have on the web. You could search for your topic, and maybe save yourself a bunch of time by using a ppt that another already created! If you visit the advanced search feature, and change out the file type, you should be able to find what you're looking for.
