Wonderful Website

I had a wonderful teaching discovery today. I am poking around on the internet (a luxary I have at this point because I have a student teacher) and I ran across a website named ReadWriteThink. I don't know why I have never heard of it before...seriously! It has SO many great lesson plans (many involving research and/or technology.) Not only that, it has a notetaking/outline making tool that is truly going to revolutionize the way I teach Oral Comm (especially to my special education students!!) There is a cool Venn Diagram tool too.

The lessons are geared towards Language Arts, but there are definitely research tools on there too!

Enjoy!!

Looking at the different tools, the special education students would benefit from the "outline tool"

Students with special needs struggle with organizing their thoughts through writing. I cannot wait to try it out.

I love ReadWriteThink. There is a flip book/flip chart template that I like to use with kids. I have also found a fantastic lesson for teaching the idea of perspective. So, even though it is a lot of language arts stuff, it can certainly be used in other areas.

"ReadWriteThink" could also be the title of your captivating portrait on your blog.
